Description: Like many libraries, Fort Hays State University’s Forsyth Library had great success with the addition of a One-Button Studio. Unfortunately, due to aging software and hardware along with a lack of technical support, the user-friendly experience was becoming less reliable. By reusing some existing One-Button Studio equipment, adding a few inexpensive items, and incorporating some new features, the user-friendly experience can be preserved and enhanced. Using the free OBS Studio (Open Broadcaster Software), Forsyth Library’s users can now choose from several video sources, including multiple cameras and real-time green screen, with a simple keypad. This presentation will offer guidance for refreshing your own studios, provide a few other lessons learned along the way, and encourage you to share how you have addressed similar challenges and solutions within your studio spaces.
