Overview
The
Virginia Infection Prevention Training Center’s course on CLABSI Strategies
Update Nov 2024 focuses on the latest changes to the SHEA Compendium of
Strategies to Prevent HAIs. Led by Dana Chapman, MPH, MSN, RN, CIC, this course
dives into the latest evidence-based recommendations to reduce CLABSI risks and
improve patient outcomes. Topics include
key updates and what they mean for your practice, essential practices for
CLABSI prevention, additional approaches for reducing CLABSIs, and currently
unresolved issues in infection control.

Target
audience for this course are healthcare professionals who are or will be
directly involved in infection prevention activities in their facilities. These
are infection prevention professionals who have participated in and gained
considerable knowledge through specialized infection and control training and
have minimal to moderate practice or fieldwork experience with infection
prevention and control concepts.
