Central VA SOCRA Chapter: Overview of Stem Cell Transplantation and CAR-T Therapies

This Central VA SOCRA Chapter Meeting, recorded September 16, 2020. Kathy Candler, Clinical Research Coordinator II, provided an overview of stem cell transplants and CAR-T therapies involving chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) and T cells. Topics included: common types of transplants; common cell types used in transplantation; and a general overview of CAR-T therapies. Ms. Candler works with the Massey Cancer Center's Cellular Immunotherapies and Transplant (CIT) Program.
