Thomas M. Scalea Lectureship in Trauma Care

The Thomas M. Scalea Lectureship in Trauma Care is an annual lecture hosted by the VCU Department of Surgery in Richmond, VA.

Named after Dr. Scalea, Physician-in-Chief at R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, this lecture highlights critical topics in trauma surgery and recognizes national leaders who have advanced the field in the spirit of Dr. Scalea’s contributions.

The first speaker for this annual lecture is Col. Jennifer M. Gurney, Chief of the Joint Trauma System and trauma surgeon at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.
